PANTOKRATOR

PANTOKRATOR

The primary transference of the title "Pantokrator" to refer to Christ rather than the Creator was a result of the Christological shift that occurred during the fourth century, reflected through iconography; Christ Pantocrator and has come to suggest Christ as a mild but stern, all-powerful judge of humanity.
Paul uses Pantokrator once (2 Cor. 6:18). Aside from that one occurrence, the author of the Book of Revelation is the only New Testament author to use the word Pantokrator. The author of Revelation uses the word nine times

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Não conhecia a designação de Cristo como Pantokrator. Mas entendi o conceito. E reconheci-o.
Conheço sobretudo a citação de Rev 1:8, a qual acho soberba!
:) Gostei. Levo daqui um termo novo, para mim.

P.S. - Procurei dar resposta à questão que deixaste ficar no meu blog, por lá mesmo. :) Espero possa constituir uma boa pista.
